Easter Letter 2024

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In the radiant name of our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I extend heartfelt greetings to each of you. As we approach this sacred season, I wish you a blessed and joyous Easter, filled with hope and renewal.

At Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, this Easter holds special significance. We eagerly anticipate the arrival of our largest class of new and confirmed Christians in recent parish history—thirteen souls embarking on a profound journey. These individuals seek the transformative grace of the Sacrament of Baptism, partake in the sacred mystery of the Holy Eucharist, and receive the seal of the Holy Spirit through Confirmation. On Easter night, they will symbolically die and rise anew with Christ, embodying the very essence of the Easter mystery.

Newly baptized and confirmed members of St. Vincent de Paul

Year after year, we are invited to rekindle this same miracle within our own lives. As we walk alongside Christ in His Passion, Death, and Resurrection, we discover the enduring grace and perseverance needed to fulfill our ultimate purpose: the journey toward Eternal Life.

Beyond the spiritual realm, the devoted parishioners of Saint Vincent’s actively steward our venerable 121-year-old church. Together, we labor to preserve its architectural beauty—a testament to our unwavering Catholic faith. Recent maintenance efforts include repairing leaks and plaster in the sanctuary, maintaining the ramp, refinishing floors in the parish hall and rectory hallway, and rejuvenating the sanctuary carpets. Looking ahead, our focus turns to revitalizing the pews and kneelers, ensuring they stand strong for generations to come.

Notably, our latest enhancement lies in the sound system, now equipped for live streaming of Mass. Whether on Sundays or during the week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday), you can join us virtually at svdpdc.org/live.

In closing, I pray that each of you remains steadfast in faith and well-being. Know that you are held in our thoughts and prayers, and may God’s blessings continue to grace your lives abundantly.

God bless you,
